            The main active ingredient Puresterol® (Pueraria mirifica extract) contains“Phytoestrogens“

Phytoestrogens possess the highest estrogenic activity, due to their “Bio-identical“ structural similarity to human estrogen.

            Higher estrogen levels reduce testosterone dominance and the affect on sex hormone binding globulin (SBHG) level. SBHG binds to testosterone and effectively renders it inactive. The bound testosterone cannot be converted to DHT and so cannot promote androgenic alopecia. In addition, it has been shown that cells in hair follicles can express receptor for estrogen.
